What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which is very hard to exactly translate but means "God's Wisdom”, “Higher Power", “Free Passage" or "Transcendental Spirit” and Ki which is "life force energy".

Strings of little things

As we all learned in our highschool chemistry classes, all matters are made of molecules, molecules of atoms, and atoms of even more miniscule particulates. And what are these particulates made of? The most recent subatomic physics tells us that they are made of vibrations, i.e., energies with different frequencies Also our bodies are governed by this energy. This energy can either be free flowing, or are stuck in certain points. The whole idea of Reiki is to control that enormous life force energy, using it to heal, improve, and put it in balance again. This way our lives become peaceful, rich and meaningful. <<
